Kensington Palace Gardens

While at 6a architects Chris acted as project architect on the full renovation and basement extension of a grade II listed mansion on one of London’s finest streets. The proposed works included the full refurbishment of the lower ground floor, basement extension to form new swimming pool, sauna and steam room, new staircases to improve connections with the upper floors of the house, new external terrace and a new garden and landscaping.Listed Building Consent was successfully gained from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, after in-depth meetings with Heritage officers and a historic building consultant.The design was developed with contractor Sizebreed Construction, interior designers Studio Ilse, garden designer Dan Pearson Studio and a number of engineering, AV and pool consultants.
