A small courtyard might seem like an odd thing to pin your hopes on, but these were more than hopes – this was our carefully calculated way of bringing light, air, and a blast of the outdoors into the dark no-man’s land that often results from extending a Victorian terraced house. And our clients really have embraced it. It’s a place to grow herbs, to hang laundry, to feel the sun on your face or fresh air in your lungs. We’re proud of our outside-inside-outside wall too. It draws the eye all the way along, from the little courtyard, past the dining table, and out into the garden.
